Toyota has another van, this time it’s a real giant that you can also have as a three-way tipper.

The family of Toyota Proace utility vehicles has expanded with another member, the Proace Max, the largest van from this Professional product line to date. At first glance, you can tell that the basis of the car is the Fiat Ducato, which Toyota didn’t even try to hide. In addition, it is usually Toyota who is the leader in development and shares components with other brands, so we can hardly begrudge them this deal and thus saving costs for the development of a large van.

The new Toyota Camry is clear proof that what works doesn't need to be changed much

The Proace Max is available in six configurations including two wheelbase variants, three different lengths and three body heights. In the largest version offered, it is up to 17 m3 cargo space. The rear doors open up to 270 degrees for the easiest possible access when loading and unloading. According to the press release, the Proace Max will also be available as an electric car, which would indicate the technology of the Fiat e-Ducato model.

Toyota promises a range of up to 420 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. On the Fiat website, we see the possibility of charging with a power of up to 50 kW or 22 kW from the wallbox. The useful weight of the electric dozen is always around one ton. However, we will have to wait for technical data from Toyota and other information about the model. The car will also be available as a one-sided or three-sided tipper with folding sides or as a classic chassis with a cab.
